Available Treatments For Athlete's Foot
Cucumber Foot Treatment.
This treatment is good for relaxing tired and sore feet, giving them a light exfoliation, and easing blister pain. Ingredients: 2 whole cucumbers, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Mix all the ingredients in a blender until pureed. Pour half of the mixture into a plastic bag, and the other half in a second bag. Slide your feet into the bags and rub the mask around the foot until submerged. Let your feet sit for 10 minutes. Remove your feet from the bags, rinse with warm water, and pat dry.
Peppermint Foot Scrub.
This treatment will restore aching and sore feet and give them a deep exfoliation. It is best not to use this treatment if you have broken skin, skin rash, or sunburn on your feet. Ingredients: One quarter cup of olive oil, 10 drops of peppermint essential oil, 1 cup of fine sea salt. Mix ingredients in a bowl until combined. Rub a generous amount of the mixture on to your feet using circular motions for 1 full minute. Let the mask stay on your feet for 10 minutes. Rinse your feet with warm water and pat dry.
Cocoa Butter Foot Treatment.
This is a super-moisturizing treatment that will help rough or dry, sore feet become softer and help heal skin problems as a result of athlete’s foot. Ingredients: 2 tablespoons of pure cocoa butter or Shea butter, 2 tablespoons of coconut oil, 5 drops of lavender oil. If you have cracked feet or common symptoms of athlete’s foot, replace the lavender oil with tea tree oil. Combine the cocoa butter or Shea butter with the coconut oil in a saucepan and place on low heat. Heat the mixture until melted, stirring frequently, and then add the drops of essential oil. Store the foot treatment in a glass jar until needed. Massage the mixture generously on to the feet before going to bed and cover them with cotton socks. Leave the socks on overnight until showering the next morning.
